
Significant snow will continue through Sunday then intensify to heavy snow for Sunday evening. The snow will gradually ease through Sunday overnight into Monday morning. Total snow accumulations are forecast to be 15 to 20 cm however the Fernie Factor could be in play.
The highest snowfall accumulations are expected for communities near the west-facing mountain slopes including Fernie. By Monday morning, the heavy snow will ease to light to moderate snow for the remainder of the day.
Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow.
