Fernie Classical Series

The Fernie Classical Series begins on Friday, June 26 at 7pm with Rosebud Chamber Music, marking the first event in a new professionally curated classical music series at Knox on 2nd.

This opening concert brings acclaimed musicians Keith Hamm, Julie Hereish, Sheila Jaffe, and Aleh Remezau together for an intimate and expressive evening featuring masterworks by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Benjamin Britten for oboe and strings.

Hosted in the historic Knox on 2nd, the performance will take advantage of the venue’s natural acoustics and intimate listening environment, offering chamber music at its most personal — close, vivid, and deeply connected to both the musicians and the audience.

The Fernie Classical Series presents high-quality classical music performances in Fernie, British Columbia, with programming focused on chamber music, solo performances, and exceptional musicianship. The series expands access to professional performing arts in a rural community, supports musicians through fair compensation, and strengthens Fernie’s year-round cultural offerings.

As the first event in the new series, Rosebud Chamber Music sets the tone for what audiences can expect: professionally presented classical music, intimate performances, and a welcoming concert experience in one of Fernie’s most distinctive live music venues.

The Fernie Classical Series is proudly supported by the CBT REDI Grants program, whose support helps bring high-quality live music and cultural programming to the community.
