EVR’s Mining for Miracles campaign raised $948,954 for the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation, Thanks to the generosity of employees, contractors, and suppliers — EVR’s most successful campaign to date.
The money raised will help build the BC Children’s Hospital Centre for Health Complexity, a first-of-its-kind facility supporting children with complex chronic health conditions.
Congratulations to EVR’s Pie-ee’s — Craig Bishop, Laura Gislason, Shane Green, and Ernie Canlas — who were the top four fundraisers in the province, raising a combined $802,334. Congratulations also go to first-time Pie-ee participants Michael O’Shaughnessy from VHE/CGO and Dallas Cain from SWO, who raised an impressive combined $146,620.
EVR raised more money than any other company participating in the signature Pie Throw event, an achievement everyone can be proud of. Thank you to all Pie-ee’s for stepping up for such an important cause.
Once again, it was the enthusiasm of employees, contractors, and site champions that made EVR’s campaign such a success. Fundraising activities included the truck drop, contractor breakfast, and pie throws, bringing people together to support children in need.
EVR also recognized Tammy Ogden, Coordinator, Community Relations and Mining for Miracles Committee member, who once again led an outstanding campaign with support from a number of EVR colleagues.
EVR’s results as of the campaign deadline were:
Team North – Craig and Ernie, GHO & FRO: $401,425
Team South – Shane and Laura, LCO & EVO: $400,909
Team Dallas Cain, SWO: $99,863
Team Michael O’Shaughnessy, CGO & VHE: $46,757
