Clouds hung low all day. On the Lizard Range and Mt. Fernie snow showers hid their features. Away from the ridges, the mountains ringing the valley, an off and on light drizzle dampened spirits. The long-range forecast from released today says colder in the east and a warm wet year in the west. Not a big snow year. El Nino sits off South America. Not good.

The sun set was more like a dimming that a sunset. As the light diminished, snow began to fall. Light at first, then heavy. Sort of a, “Watch this”.

And a, “You have to wait for morning to see what really happens. So, wait, sucker.”

So, we wait. Another night of snowfall. Another morning of what?

And we ask, when will winter really start?

And then it began to snow!
