James Little, Explore Magazines Editor, mentioned before that one of the neat things they’re doing these days is using their website to add extra elements to the stories they cover in the pages of explore magazine.

For example, the September/October issue has a great first-person account by Canadian Logan Grayling of what it’s like to launch a kayak off a 100-foot waterfall. Logan talks about the apprehension he felt before paddling off Banff’s Upper Johnston Falls, and then explains what was going through his mind as he actually made the drop. It’s fascinating stuff, and it’s even more interesting to then watch a video produced by Andrew Hardingham that shows the action. Awesome.
