The Fernie Snowmobile Association(FSA) has announced that it will be grooming Hartley Lake trail. The FSA has purchased a Bearcat Sled with 24 x 151 track to tow a drag donated by Rick Mercier up Hartley Lake trail. It has always been difficult to groom Hartley as it required transporting the snowcat and trail drag from its home base at Coal Creek. WCB rules also required them to have an avalanche assessment done for a paid operator. The new Bearcat provides a solution to both of these challenges!

Paul Kramer and FSA Pres. Bob Arnott

The FSA sends a big thank you to Rick Mercier who developed, built and tested the drag on Hartley Lake trail and offered it to the club to use. The FSA supplied a heavy duty snowmobile to tow it and gives thanks to Paul Kramer of Ghostrider Motorsports and Rosneau Transport for helping with the Bearcat.

Upcoming FSA events include:

FEBRUARY 23 – SNOWARAMA – FAMILY RIDE

MARCH 2 – SNOW DRAGS
