I’m not sure if you guys realize this but Season Passes actually makes up the smallest portion of the ski hill revenue.

Well then your not going to like to hear this but.. every year they keep breaking records on skiier visits, day pass sales, bar and resturaunt revenue. Not to mention the the cost of running the ski hill is dropping very rapidly due to new management positions. If you think the ski hill is losing ground to other ski hills in B.C. your wrong. The ski hill increases its competative edge over other hills in B.C. every year. Also, there is more guest services at the ski hill now than there ever has bin in the history of the resort. “Service Without Boundries” is the title of the project.

Most ski hills are not even open. We open early and your complaining? The only reason the ski hill even opened was for season pass holders. They already have “your” money for the season pass that you bought, so opening early is a bonus for you. They could keep your money and remain closed for another couple weeks. Would that be less greedy? It is actually costing the ski hill to be open right now. Yesturday there was only 125 people on the hill , and 7/8 of those 125 people were season pass holders. You should be glad the ski hill is even open and allowing you to ride their lifts. You could still be hiking up to the top of the Bear with your PASS buring a hole in your pocket.

You got to understand that all those people hanging out in the pipe are not spending any money at the ski hill. They want people skiing there that are buying lunch, new gloves and hat, dinner, etc. etc. etc. I bet that you and all your friends didn’t put more that $100 dollars (excluding your passes) into the ski hill last year. So for the cost of maintaining a good “Super Pipe” is way way more than the revenue the “Super Pipe” would generate. My suggestion to you would be to start skiiing.

Depends what your idea of a good time is. Getting drunk $19.99 , Wondering into a house party your not welcome $5.00 , Getting your teeth kicked through the back of your head Priceless.

hey guess what….your wrong. They didn’t bring anything to F.A.R. That lift belongs to the resort. It’s all spiffed up and ready to go for this year. I’m not sure where your getting your information from but it is wrong. They’ve had that lift for the 3 years (counting this year) the event has gone on for. I wish people wouldn’t post things if they don’t know what they’re talking about. That one was it.

[quote:2d2qd0kp]On the other hand it was a piece and equipment to make a good pipe would never be affordable by the resort.[/quote:2d2qd0kp]

if the piece of equipment you are refering to is a Pipe Dragon then you are wrong. The ski hill has 2 of them. A front mount and a rear mount. It will now be used for making the take offs and landings in the park. Of course it was affordable by the ski hill. This summer they threw 3 million dollars into the ski hill. They’ve had a pipe dragon for 3 years.

that small face lift style lift laying around by the shop is for the athletes on the Aerial Jump Event. It is only put up for one weekend a year. I know for sure that it won’t be put up there this year. And as far as next year… I make no more predictions because you really never know what they’re thinking. And if you read my new post about the Half Pipe. Having to hike the park is going to be the least of your worries.

You’ll be sad to learn that it rained to the top of the mountain today. But that makes a good base…Keeps you off the rocks early season….

You can get group rates at the hill. The more tickets you buy, the cheaper it is.

Highway 1 is longer if you compare mile for mile. But if you compare the amount of small towns where the speed limit goes to 60 km/h , and the amounts of police that hang out around those towns (speed traps) If how trechorus the passes can get in the winter. Then for me #1 is the way.

well there’s only 10 or so inches up there.. I’m not sure if I would consider that a good base. In some spots under the trees there is almost no snow.
