The local community of Fernie celebrates as freestyle skier Sam Goodison secures the gold medal at the FIS Freestyle NORAM dual moguls event held in Apex today! Facing off against Australia’s George Murphy, Sam delivered a winning performance. This marks Goodison’s FIRST career NorAm gold medal!
Goodison’s stellar performance adds to an impressive season, following a commendable 6th place finish in the Apex single moguls event yesterday and a remarkable 2nd place finish in single moguls at Deer Valley earlier this month. See the results here.
In recognition of his exceptional talent and dedication, Freestyle Canada’s Mogul High Performance Committee had previously announced Goodison’s selection to the 2023-24 High Performance (HP) Mogul program.
Before making waves on the National Team, Goodison honed his skills with the Fernie Freestyle Club, exemplifying the talent and passion that drives the local skiing community.
