Kerri Wall

As Election Day approaches in the Kootenay-Rockies riding, it’s clear that voters are tired of the political bickering and polarization. The time has come for a candidate and a party that knows how to collaborate and get things done — Kerri Wall and the BC Green Party.

The political landscape in this riding is split on both the right and left, creating an unpredictable outcome. Kerri Wall and the BC Greens offer a solution. “We know that minority governments decrease polarization and increase both collaboration and transparency. It’s critical that BC Greens are in the legislature to keep the other parties in check, especially when it comes to the greatest threat to global health and wellbeing: climate change,” says Wall.

With a background in public health, Kerri Wall has spent years working across sectors and agencies to address pressing issues like housing affordability, childcare, and healthcare access in Kootenay communities. She’s a leader who knows how to bring people together for real, cooperative solutions. “In public health, we focus on evidence-based policy, expert perspectives, and lived experiences. It frustrates me that political decisions often ignore what actually works. That’s why I’m running for the BC Greens again,” she adds.

Real Solutions for Kootenay-Rockies
Wall emphasizes that the BC Green Party has a plan that works for the people of Kootenay-Rockies. “Everyone needs access to primary care, and the BC Greens’ ‘Dogwood Model’ is perfectly aligned with what’s actually happening in our riding,” Wall explains. The Dogwood Model proposes team-based, community-centered care that makes healthcare accessible to everyone, addressing the severe lack of primary care attachment. “Most people don’t realize,” Wall continued, “that we don’t have a shortage of family doctors in rural BC; we actually have a system that does not support doctors to work here. For many doctors, this is exactly the model they have been asking for—one where they can provide primary care within the public system, without also having to be a small business owner.”

Key highlights of the Dogwood Model include:
• Establishing primary care homes with a team-based, patient-centered approach
• Ensuring long-term care and palliative care for every community
• Expanding mental health and substance use services
• Funding for publicly delivered healthcare to reduce wait times

These aren’t just lofty ideas—the BC Greens have a fully costed plan. Kerri Wall stands as the only candidate in the riding with both the solutions and a financially responsible roadmap to make them happen. “We’re not just talking about change. We’ve laid out a vision and a budget for overall wellness with attention on prevention. It’s always more cost-effective to keep people healthy in the first place.” The Green Party is the only party that has put forward a detailed, fiscally responsible plan to ensure British Columbians get the services they need without compromising future generations.

A Clear Choice
While the other candidates are embroiled in questionable poll predictions and accusations, Kerri Wall and the BC Greens are laser-focused on delivering real solutions for the people of Kootenay-Rockies. “There is a party asking me to step down and endorse them. Two other candidates have no platform. We’re offering the only comprehensive and achievable plan for a better future,” says Wall.

It’s time to stop pointing fingers and start addressing the very real problems facing British Columbians. If you’re tired of political gridlock and want a candidate who will work across party lines for the good of everyone in Kootenay-Rockies, Kerri Wall is your best choice.
