After almost 25 years in business Mountain High Adventures has opened up a new Adventure Center based in a large yurt at the Fernie RV Resort. The Fernie RV Resort sits on close to a kilometer of beautiful Elk River shoreline and provides Mountain High with direct access for river activities. The new Adventure Center yurt is a welcome addition to the resorts existing five yurts offering nightly glamping.
“It has always been my goal to create a full service, year round adventure center in Fernie.” says Mountain High owner Jon Knauf. “Guests can gear up in a beautiful location, can easily rent everything from inflatable kayaks to stand up paddle boards, or fat bikes, and directly access Fernie’s endless recreation!”
Reto Barrington, Fernie RV Resort General Manager, commented, “Mountain High is a great active outdoor partner to provide exciting services for guests and visitors from our Resort and Fernie. We are also excited to be able to provide a variety of camping and glamping accommodations for their guests.”
This summer the Mountain High Adventure Center is offering the following from the new Adventure Centre at the Fernie RV Resort:

The RV Resort is open year around for RVing and glamping and Fernie is an absolute Winter paradise. Winter trails for snowshoeing, fat biking and XC skiing directly connect with the Resort. To help with winter, Mark Hatch has partnered with Mountain High Adventures and is excited to fill the missing activities in Fernie’s winter adventure offerings. “We will offer XC ski, snowshoe, and fatbike excursions packaged with a Yurt fondue dinner for Fernie’s residents, guests and visitors.” says Mark, “Watch our website for more details!”
