KORE Outdoors Summit 2026 is coming to Kimberley September 17–18, bringing outdoor gear makers, designers, entrepreneurs and industry leaders from across North America together in the Kootenays.
For Fernie’s outdoor businesses, product makers, retailers, guides, designers and entrepreneurs, this is a major industry gathering happening practically in our backyard.
The fifth annual Summit takes place at the Kimberley Alpine Resort Conference Centre and is Canada’s only conference dedicated specifically to the outdoor gear industry and the manufacturing and product design sector behind it.
The two-day Summit combines industry learning with the mountain-town culture that makes the Kootenays such a natural home for the outdoor sector.
The 2026 program features speakers from across North America discussing engineering, product design, entrepreneurship, manufacturing, marketing and sustainability, along with practical workshops, keynote presentations and plenary sessions.
Outside the conference rooms, participants can expect:
• Group mountain bike rides, trail runs, hikes and rock climbing
• An outdoor campfire networking event
• Hands-on workshops
• Keynote speakers and industry presentations
• Opportunities to connect directly with outdoor brands, designers, entrepreneurs and other people building careers and businesses around outdoor recreation
The Summit has grown from a grassroots Kootenay gathering into an important meeting place for Canada’s outdoor product sector — and it offers local businesses and entrepreneurs an opportunity to make connections without travelling to Vancouver, Calgary or farther afield.
