Max Webster has edited a film using footage from a drone showing kayakers launching the Elk River falls just south of Fernie.
The falls has been called “Leap of Faith” by kayakers following Stewart Smith’s naming of the falls in a guide book published in the 90’s.
BC Hydro recently announced an alarm system to advise river users of sudden increases in water levels due to dam releases.
