Apparently today was “Friends Day”. That wasn’t going over very well on the ski hill today as the “No Friends on a Powder Day” rule was in full force as Fernie snuck out another 25cm of blower pow overnight, making it 59cm for the week… and counting.
This has Fernie climbing way up to a three metre snow base (now 279cm). It is now the deepest in Canada and one of the deepest in all of North America! Hopefully the forecasted snow in the next few days is extra deep and pushes us over the three metre mark.
This weekend the Kodiak Lounge Winter Bicicle Shredfest will be happening in Fernie. Come check out the race and the group ride.
I did manage to sneak a couple pictures of some random people skiing some super nice powder. Enjoy.
