Winter Bicicle Shredfest

Join FAR and the Kodiak Lounge for a full weekend of Winter Sno-biking fun!

Saturday will involve a winter biking race, in which competitors will race on the Hobbit/Boom Creek winter biking trails. Race will be done in laps of the new Boom Creek Trail loop with final length (number of laps) determined on race morning based off on snow conditions. Total course length will be between 4.5-6km. The race course will be machined groomed and involve both single track and wider trails. There is some minor elevation gain and loss but nothing significant and no long sustained climbs or descends. Race loops has more of a cross country feel versus a downhill trail. See map below for course details.

The cost for the race is $10. Registration is open at Guest Services or on race day in the daylodge (see schedule below).

Event is open to all ages and both winter fat bikes and mountain bikes can enter (regular mountain bikes must have studded tires). For any bike with studs the studs must be small studs flushed into the tire professionally (ie. tires bought with studs already on them – no studded tires made from screws allowed).

We will have 2 categories for the race – Open Men’s and Open Women’s (depending on final numbers – we may break down the categories into age groups as well). There will be great prizes for the top finishers plus draw prizes available for all competitors thanks to our sponsors.

HELMETS ARE MANDATORY for all competitors and all competitors must sign an Event Waiver at registration. Please note: any competitor 15 years of age or younger must have their parent or legal guardian come with them to registration Saturday morning to sign the wavier in person for the minor.
