The Regional District of East Kootenay board of directors today named a successor to the position of chief administrative officer (CAO).
Shawn Tomlin, current RDEK director of finances and a 12-year member of the regional government senior management team, will assume the position of CAO.
“I have worked with Shawn Tomlin for the past ten years. He is very competent and capable and I congratulate him on his new position of CAO.” said Mike Sosmowski, RDEK Area A Director, “Lee-Ann Crane has been an amazing CAO, she has guided me in my decisions and with her guidance we have accomplished many great initiatives in Area A. I wish her all the best in the future.”

Current CAO Lee-Ann Crane is retiring in May and has been CAO of the RDEK for 20 years.
