1. Golf in Full Swing
Fernie Golf and Country Club is open for the season and the greens are in excellent condition for early spring. The course offers challenging play yet is still suited for beginner and intermediate players. There is a driving range and practice green, and rentals are available. Pop into the Clubhouse restaurant after for great eats and refreshment. This weekend’s events include the 13th Annual Fernie Rotary Charity Golf Tournament and the East Kootenay Junior Open.

2. Fernie Museum 2014 Speaker Series

This year is the 50th anniversary of the historic Curse Raising ceremony held in Fernie in August 1964. That ceremony is the theme of a program of events being hosted by the Fernie Museum this year. The first of these will be the inaugural presentation in the Museum’s 2014 Speaker Series.

3. Pamper & Prosecco Retreat at Spa901

The Pamper & Prosecco Weekend Retreat at Spa901 will leave you relaxed and rejuvenated. Starting on Friday, May 30th with a Prosecco reception and motivational speaker, the weekend will continue with treats and features to stimulate and relax body & mind.

4. Gallery Opening: Tomorrow’s Dream – New Works by Karen Sims
Often woken from a dream, Karen’s day begins with a vision as her next piece unfolds. Karen’s exhibit, Tomorrow’s Dream, will showcase a variety of her acrylic pieces that have woken her from a deep sleep.

5. Fernie Dirt Jump Bike Park
The Dirt Jump Park is open in town! There’s something for everyone with beginner features to much larger jumps. There’s no cost to use, however donations or becoming a member of the Fernie Bike Club are much appreciated and inexpensive. The park is next to the Fernie Aquatic Centre and the skateboard park on the corner of Pine & Ridgemont in Fernie.
