As a beautification initiative the City of Fernie has introduced a tribute program to enhance parks and green spaces with amenities that can pay tribute to individuals, groups, or projects that mark achievement and celebrate life.
The types of amenities that are suggested include; park benches, picnic tables, trees and bike racks. Larger items include: picnic shelters, playgrounds or playground components and sport courts. The City is open to suggestions and financial donations are also accepted.
