Global Fat Bike Day 2025 takes place on Saturday, December 6, marking over a decade of celebration in Fernie and around the world. Held annually on the first Saturday of December, this day brings riders together to celebrate the freedom and fun of fat biking in all conditions.

Fernie has been part of Global Fat Bike Day since it began in 2012, with local riders braving the snow for community group rides, trail gatherings, and plenty of post-ride cheer.

It’s a day to embrace winter, roll through the snow, and celebrate the simple joy of pedaling on snow covered trails.
