The 2026 Family Safety Day will be held by the Fernie Fire Rescue and the East Kootenay Emergency Management Program have teamed up as hosts. This year the event will be part of Emergency Preparedness Week, helping families prepare at the start of our local emergency season.

The event is free and open to all. The Salvation Army will be hosting a barbeque (by donation) and there will be games for kids, giveaways, and more!
