Overwaitea stocks Mi Goreng and goon bags are available at all the beer and wine outlets in town, including the BC Liquor Store, however the cheapest goon bag could be at the Beer and Wine U-Brew shop beside Elk Valley Pizza.

Report the items to the police, they might encounter the scumbags.

Rule of Fernie: lock your vehicles and hide your toys at all times. Unfortunately resorts attract those without means, who can benefit from having yours.

History points to lazy Nationals with birth expectations and willing to take the risk.

Go to the volly ski patrol (CSPS) room in the basement (locker room) of the Day Lodge and get a couple of single discarded miss-matched poles FREE.

Complaining is a positive action, it shows that you care and want to facilitate change. There is huge room for improvement at Extra Foods and perhaps this string will generate positive change.

The Extra Foods in my town is managed much better that the Extra Foods in Fernie, it also is a much larger town. Perhaps good service is an urban attribute.

People live in Fernie for the recreation, the beauty, the wilderness and all its outdoor amenities; WORK has not been a priority, just a necessity.

The urban character of Fernie will continue to be slow, I suggest lowering your service expectations and enjoying Fernie for what it is.

This unit is still around – looks like it’s going to be a good Winter to have a snow solution!

There are initiatives in place in Fernie that are similar to what your discussing. You should contact the Fernie Chamber of Commerce and/or Advocates for Local Living. They have a Christmas program that is launched with a Christmas light up ceremony in the downtown and also includes a shop local component.

Well stated. Both options,Parks and mines, are only about minority objectives. The local public want neither.
