My wife and I hiked up Proctor Mountain on July 22 and ran into a Grizzly on the 3rd Peak, he was very aggresive at first but a few bear bangers and rocks rolled down at him changed his tune… we ditched the food and made it down the mountian to the poweline in 37min! Great experiance, glad to have had it happen… the wife even felt the same way… later on of course while looking back at the peak.

I often find myself agreeing with Mikes on his threads… and I do once again…

I thought the comparison about dogs pooping on the lawns of our home and Calgary folk throwing garbage and leaving was great…
Although it would be easier to just say the red plates to the same thing… come, shit on our doorstep then leave… to come back about once a month and do it all over again… might be a different breed but hey, same shit different pile….

… dogs don’t go around assuming their shit is awesome and that everyone loves it and needs it, sure it will turn into fertilizer eventually but my grass is green enough… I don’t “need” them here,
As far as locals stalking the “out of towners and beating them” well on the occasions I heard about, of the Calgary boys should have kept their hands to themselves… no means no in this town…. bad dogs get put down when they don’t listen…

Now to Address the real thread here…. fine the owners and use the fines to pay for enforcement… if they don’t get caught… well, shit happens… just be careful when you run the mower over that spot..

I like the idea of turning it into a historic park; we should make a little walking trail thru there with signs that read about the junk. I’m sure just about everyone who went to school there has a few stories. We could add it to the existing "Downtown Historic tour"…. Isn‚Äôt that what we do around here when things get shabby looking, call it historic then throw a ridiculous price tag on it…

I only wish the government would at least cuddle with me after they screw me…. Or maybe at least whisper some sweet nothings in my ear, that way I can at least convince myself they really love me… and it’s all for the greater good… and they will be there for me when I need them…

I sure love paved roads, I like that when I call an ambulance or police they actually come, I like public education and government programs to help people in horrible situations…

I’m not so fond of my loser uncle who has been riding welfare for as long as I can remember… complaining about some phantom back problem and blaming his pure incompetence on “them”… while drinking a $52 case of beer and smoking a $12 pack of cigarettes… Can you believe we pay for that fat SOB to do that… every time I smell I him or people like him I just want to smash their faces, spill their beer and crush their cigarettes… then it would only cost more I guess…

Oh ya, and I love his $1,200 TV, full cable package… the laptop and the internet…. that way he has something to do all day…

I also don’t like paying taxes so they can spend money to see where we are spending money to decide how to spend the money….
They need to run it more like a business…
All in all I don’t mind paying for my lifestyle… It’s a good one…
