Fernie is no stranger to the bright lights of Hollywood shining on it in recent years and now it’s a backdrop for a Eddie Bauer catalogue.

As a result, 2nd Avenue will be temporarily closed between 4th Street and 6th Street, between 4 a.m. and 11 a.m. from Tuesday, February 12 through to Thursday, February 14 for a photography production shoot for the 2013 Eddie Bauer Holiday catalogue.

Hive Media Works Inc., the production company shooting of the 2013 Eddie Bauer Holiday catalogue, will be photographing models in downtown Fernie and the surrounding area.

According to the City of Fernie, which has released a public notice regarding the avenue closure, the shoot is expected to take two days to complete with an extra day planned in case weather becomes a limiting factor.

The majority of the production will take place between 7 a.m. and 11 a.m. with three hours planned for setup starting at 4 a.m. Although traffic and parking will be restricted along 2nd Avenue between 4th Street and 6th Street, there will be no restrictions applied to pedestrian traffic.
