Fernie trail usage has been consistent with the rest of Canada and with winter approaching, a cohesive plan was required to manage demand and prevent overcrowding.
The trail is a 20 kilometer, 400 meters elevation gain/loss loop to the confluence of the Elk River and Kootenay and follows part of the historic Old Fort Steele Trail.
Ben will be responsible for managing and coordinating volunteers, coordinating the inspection and maintenance of existing trails, managing budgets and providing weekly trail reports.
