
Summer officially kicks off at Fernie’s iconic Island Lake Lodge with the much-anticipated opening weekend set for June 15th. Nestled at the top of Cedar Valley amidst ancient old-growth cedar trees—among the oldest and easternmost cedars in BC—Island Lake Lodge offers a serene and luxurious escape into nature.
This summer, Island Lake Lodge will offer its renowned accommodations, dining experiences, and rejuvenating spa treatments from June 15th through September 16th, 2024, with select blackout dates. The lodge is typically open Friday through Tuesday each week, with closures on event weekends. Visitors are encouraged to review the lodge calendar or call ahead for exact details.

Important Information for Hikers:
Daily hiking access is open, including Wednesdays and Thursdays when lodge facilities are closed. During these times, hikers must park in the lower parking lot. Anyone planning to leave vehicles at Island Lake while hiking Heiko’s Trail should pre-register with the lodge.
Overnight camping is not permitted on Island Lake property.
