Fernie Singletrack 3 arrives in the Elk Valley June 26–28, 2026, marking the return of the TransRockies Race Series to Fernie with a new three-day mountain bike stage race and community festival.
This first-year event has already sold out its 500-rider field, drawing participants from across Western Canada and beyond. While the race itself is full, the focus now shifts to community engagement, spectators, and festival participation across the weekend.
The race features three distinct stages linking Fernie’s trail networks, with operations centred at the Montane Barn and the Elk Valley Nordic Centre. Stage 1 and Stage 2 showcase Montane, Ridgemont, the Elk Valley Trail and surrounding singletrack, while Stage 3 connects the Nordic Centre to Fernie Alpine Resort before returning for final awards and celebrations.
Beyond the racing, Fernie Singletrack 3 is built as a full community experience. The Ride & Roast Bike Festival, organized by the Coal Creek Heritage Society, anchors Saturday with a broad mix of free and inclusive programming. Community rides, a kids’ bike rodeo, an e-bike rally, heritage rides, a townie challenge, and a signature lamb roast-off! The event is also supported by food trucks, a beer garden, live music, and an active expo village.
With the race field confirmed, the weekend is positioned as a spectator-friendly event and a celebration of Fernie’s trail culture and outdoor lifestyle. Residents and visitors are encouraged to come out, watch the racing, and take part in the festival atmosphere.
