The Road Ponies are saddling up for another ride through the Kootenays with a Comedy Night at the Legion. Join a night of immaculate vibes, big LOL’s with your friends, and a top tier of out of town comedians, your talent for the night.
Charles Haycock is a unique comedian in many ways. Whereas most good comics command an audience’s attention by being larger than life, Charles drops all the pretense and offers up a quirky playful style that makes the crowd WANT to listen. His humour is subtle, yet uproariously funny. Charles branches off in unexpected directions, and is gifted enough that the odd jokes that MISS are often as funny as the ones that hit. He embodies the old saying that “a good comedian says funny things, but a great comedian says things funny”, which is why he has been turning heads since taking to the stage in 2012.
Celeste Lampa is a stand-up comedian based in Edmonton. By day, she’s a hard-working suburban mom. And by night, she’s still a hard-working suburban mom. Celeste’s comedy style is down-to-earth and often draws humor from the simple moments in life. She performs all over Canada, and was featured at Edmonton’s Grindstone Comedy Festival. In 2023, she recorded with JFL Originals and released an album titled ‘25%’ on Sirius XM.
Ben Bauce is an Alberta boy who spent the last 6 years taking the Canadian comedy scene by storm. This redneck/city-boy/hippy has a blue-collar upbringing, a huge family, and a teen daughter that are the inspiration and motivation for his recent comedic escapades. Entertaining audiences from Flin Flon to Nanaimo (and most spots in-between) Ben’s love for comedy and laughter has him putting on the miles to make you smile.
And your host Robyn Sansom, Fernie local comedian who In 2017 started to spread her comedy seed all over the small town of Fernie, BC and is now broadening her range! Robyn is a coproducer of the ‘Roadponies’ comedy show running through the Kootenays, and has been on various comedy tours throughout British Columbia, Alberta and around New Zealand. When she’s not using her legs with ergonomic intent, you can find Robyn tending to, and sniffing her hair collection (donations accepted at all times)
