You gotta be kidding, “safe”? Safe for a 5 year old is soccer, the playground, the pool, a bicycle, etc…

Educate yourself Monster73 and be responsible. Children under the age of 14 are at great risk on motorized recreation vehicles. Especially quads.

You will meet other motor-heads that share your irresponsible child development philosophies. The sooner you move to Sparwood the better, in the short term – stay off our Fernie hiking and biking trails!

Wow I mean are you even close to sociable. Your post was one of the most prejudice and ignorant ones I’ve seen in awhile. There are trails for everyone here. It is one of the reasons people move here. I will agree that quads are not the most environmentally friendly ways to enjoy the wilderness. But everyone has the right to enjoy it in their own way. Without someone attacking them. I run environmentally friendly dogsled tours yet there are people like you that slash my tires and steal my equipment. All because I’m on your trails. Give me a break. Like it was said above grow up.

Have you contacted the college to see if they know of any people looking to rent to MAST Students? Anita is the person I would talk to. While you are in the program Anita will always have the answer.

Brian Bell runs the program. Have you met him?

They best time to look for places to rent in Fernie is July early Aug. Bring your deposit.

Fernie is not the problem. You need to look farther than that, you need to see the real mismanagement. Look at the Regional and Provincial governments for that. I’m not sure but in the last ten years or so, the entire East Kootenays seem to have been neglected. Or put on hold for one reason or another. But Fernie has evolved and still moved on to the World map. The real tragedy in Fernie is the loss of schools, loss of full time paramedics, loss of beds in our hospitals, possible loss of the Flathead, the complete mismanagement of flood planning since 95 and so on and so on. Fernie will always be Fernie to the People that live here. I’ve only been in Fernie for 10 years, but the people that truly come from Fernie are the hardest working and most caring people in this community. If you have their backs they will have yours. So I guess what I’m trying to say is look around. It is more than a Mayor and a town council that run Fernie. If you think you can change the future of this community; Do it, Run For Mayor.

Ok lets not base it on the vets care of animals. Lets base it just on cost.
I will drive to the Crowsnest anyday for my animals. It is at least 25% cheaper there and when I purchase meds they are 50% cheaper.

Christine is a vet that my animals want to see. When I drive up and they see the office they are excited. If you just have one or two animals I guess the price is meaningless. But I have 31 dogs and price and skills matter to me.

Freezing rain is the worst weather event that could have happened. I’d rather the snow completely melted away at least then we could start with a fresh snow pack. At least when it’s freezing out you can dress for the weather and still have a good time. Now everytime you head out into the backcountry you have no real idea whats going to happen. Want to lay bets that this ice layer will not be forgotten.

I have 18 huskies and they let me know well in advance of any animals around. But what I would like is someone that might know the history of the local wolf pack. I was told that the wolves in this area are from the Bull River pack, which is some of the same wolves they used to repopulate the wolves in Montana Yellow stone area. Being an owner of few dogs that are closely related to wolves it would be nice to share some knowledge with my customers.

in my yard and trying to walk around my kennel. The party is pretty well
behaved. But after 02:00 stay the hell out of my yard please.
