The “vet” here is town is good for nothing, except to sap your bank account. If you’re a pet owner and don’t know that yet, you’ll know as soon as you have an animal that needs help and make the mistake of choosing to go see him.
This has been written on this forum before and any of the disturbing and heartbreaking rumours people in this valley hear about him are all to be taken seriously. For those that find Steeples/Cranbrook too far to drive, Dr. Skoberg formerly of Steeples has a travelling vet service now called Home Call. Wonderful, caring lady.

Well, my opinion is MR. Hart is a pompous, know-it-all ASS and right or wrong, I have no problems that Mr. Bennett sent this guy the email he did.
How many of us in Fernie would like to do the same to this horrible person we’ve had take over the local veterinary practice in town and make an utter disgrace of it?
Is there any one else out there that finds it a huge contradiction that he is both a vet and the president of the rod and gun club?
I say go back to the states- I for one don’t want ya here in this town!
    Bring Bennett back.

May not be quite what you are looking for but I have a Roland electric piano that I would like to sell.
I grew up playing on it and it is in great condition, and does not take up a lot of room.
Nice thing about it is, if it is for a beginner player and you are getting a little tired of hearing practice for the day, you can turn the volume down or put earphones on!!
reply if you would like more info.

My boyfriend was one of the “gents” that helped you out yesterday, valleygirl, and you’re right, that is just what Fernie people do, help each other out (we do get pretty used to pushing cars out every winter too, eh!) Glad the guys were able to give you a hand!

Had to say one more thing to you jen.
You consider a town overwhelmingly dominated by white skin to be multicultural???

    jennifer:
It’s funny you care so much about your precious dog, yet don’t give two shits about all the sled dogs next door to your house that will be tortured tonight by the loud music and drunk people that will no doubt be trying to pester them. Pretty hypocrytical, got to say.
How is everyone loving that comment Jen made about coughing the f***ing $15 or wait it’s too late now it’s $25 crap so she’ll be able to line her pockets tonight at bedtime??? (Somebody’s going to have to call the SPCA to see if they even get any money out of this)

Marko and Jen:one more thing,if you actually think to do this again, learn your lesson here, CHANGE YOUR PARTY’S NAME

    YES!!!
I and ALL of my pet owner friends also agree with everyone here. The vet in this town should not be in the practice of helping animals. He shows no compassion whatsoever and appears to be in this business for the money only. I have a large number of pets and if ever there is trouble, Cranbrook’s Steeples vet is my number one choice. A few years back when this new vet took over, one of my dogs become very ill and I rushed him to the fernie clinic. While I stood there panicking with my dog on the table, Mr. H..T stood gazing out the window clearly thinking of other things and maybe wishing the appointment to be over. Thankfully my dog fully recovered, but only after I called Steeples for further remedial advice-advice which I reported back to the fernie vet to see if he could supply the recommended meds-upon him hearing that I called another vet for help, Mr. H…t raged at me then cut the connection of the phone!! I think there is a definite need for a loving, compassionate vet in this town-there is certainly a large enough animal population to sustain a good veterinarian.
    Hope to see you here!!
