if you want sterility, no “smells”, no atmosphere, a basic cookie-cutter watering hole try Boston Pizza, Kelsey’s or The Pub. if you want to enjoy a pint in an atmosphere oozing in history well go to any of the other pubs and yes, the eldorado. and no i’m not spiting the generic 3, i frequent them from time to time, it’s just a matter of likes, dislikes and moods. regardless, there’s something for everyone.

    hi kristen,

i’m in the process of finishing building my basement suite. it will be furnished with tv and cable. it’s two bedrooms with one taken by a 21yo guy. cozy but not tiny, downtown location and reasonable rent. if you’re interested then leave me a message with your e-mail and i’ll get in touch. thanks.

it’s a less treacherous drive if the conditions are bad. the salmo-creston pass is just wicked when snowy, icy and foggy. highway 1 is a larger highway, less twisty. choice is yours.

    good luck

    hey,

all in all it’s a very scenic drive. if you have the time i’d make a stop in the okanagan valley on highway 97 for some fresh fruit and wine and nelson which has a very cool scene. both are a little out of the way but definately worthwhile. other than that the towns are small and nondescript.

    enjoy the drive.
