PM’d you – have some books you could look at in the UK before you visit
bagpussParticipantThere were plenty of Kiwis in Fernie, but the only ones I knew bought our van & went off travelling They certainly enjoyed the place, and I understand that it was a return visit.

April 13, 2005 at 5:54 am in reply to: Request for pre feb 4 dump photos of fernie & the mounta #13914bagpussParticipantI’ve plenty of photos, although not sure of the dates (can check them – it’s all on the pooter).
http://www.geocities.com/ange_rob_fernie … please bear with my feeble attempts to build a website – it was mainly so I didn’t have to send mass emails to family & friends
You’re welcome to any on there or if there’s anything in particular you want & I haven’t posted, let me know: I have well over 1000 photos now – no limits on film these days! There’s little from up the hill, but plenty of town/river. Also got a few recent ones that I haven’t set up yet. Now the hill’s closed, may have a bit of time to get that sorted. I have full-res (10″x8″) versions of everything on there, if the res isn’t good enough.
There’s a contact email on the site, or PM me here.
bagpussParticipantWe don’t leave until the end of the month, but I’d like to second the above
….and we’ll be back
bagpussParticipantDon’t worry, it’s not just in Fernie.
Having grown up in a seaside holiday town, it is obvious that a significant minority of ‘grockles’ leave all common sense at home. And the wider the sidewalk, the more people who will walk abreast…. Be thankful that at least you don’t get (often) the stereotypical fat lobster-red, beered-up Brits wandering around with their shirts off. *shudder* (the sort of people that give us all a bad name)
Anyone wonder why I like winter…
March 27, 2005 at 12:43 am in reply to: Snowboard outerwear & bindings for sale: now FLOW BINDIN #13523bagpussParticipantAll of the above is still around, will accept any offers.
I now have a pair of Flow Bindings to sell as well.
2003 Flow FL5 Lady Binding – Size Large $100
This were used about 15 times. They are in perfect condition other than the top is a tad dirty and one of the stickers are coming off the side. They were worn with a size 8 boot and I’m sure you could wear these at least a couple of sizes larger or smaller. Flows are awesome for beginners.
Again, I have photos & can email them if you PM me (haven’t a clue how to use the url thingy for images….!)
bagpussParticipantThere was a game last night, the next one is Tuesday night – you can get advance tickets from the Meat Market, $9 each.
Seeing as Fernie won last night, there will definitely be a game on Thursday night in Kimberley. Depending on the wins, the games are planned for Friday night home and Saturday at Kimberley.
It’s the first team to four wins, Kimberley have 2, Fernie has 1. As soon as one or the other reaches four, that’s it.
Should Fernie go through, they then will play the winner of Invermere vs Creston (currently 3 games to Invermere).
bagpussParticipantYou don’t need snow for it – only for snowkiting – but it can be flown normally (or with a mountain boarsd, but we left that in the UK.) Ah well, may even be able to try snow kiting now
bagpussParticipantThanks – have a pretty good idea of where you mean.
January 20, 2005 at 1:48 am in reply to: Snowboard outerwear & bindings for sale: now FLOW BINDIN #13522bagpussParticipantWe now have a pair of Burton Freestyle bindings to sell: $75
Good condition – they’ve been a spare pair for years now and are surplus to requirements! Comes with standard 4×4 discs.
PM me & I can email photos.
bagpussParticipantHave found Bike/Ski Base & Edge of the World pretty good so far.

bagpussParticipantPrice?
bagpussParticipantIn most tests, you need to give a credit card as security. So bring your wallet to the mountain.
