I’m trying to connect with an old friend I knew while living in Fernie many years ago. He would have been in his early 20s and worked at the CIBC which was in its old location across from todays Fernie Museum. I am having trouble remembering his last name. His first name was Rudy and for some reason and I could be completely wrong I thought his last name was Wallace Winkle or something like that. A few other points of interest: He was always smiling and joking. He loved playing rock on his guitar, and it is actually how I met him, as we used to jam in the basement of the bank. I also remember he boarded with an RCMP member who lived over by the Anglican Church.
If you worked at the CIBC back then or remember Rudy I would love to find out his actual last name so I might be able to reconnect. Thank you!
