Over 140 riders participated in the opening of the brand new Fernie downhill trail….Porky Blue, this weekend. Porky Blue is a downhill for “everybody” diversion on the decade old Porcipine Rim trail. Enjoy some absolutely amazing cross country and downhill mountain bike riding on this epic four hour ride and don’t forget to mark your calenders to join the group ride next July.

The Fernie Hotel did an amazing job of helping the Fernie Trails and Ski Touring Club with the event. Hosting riders with shuttles, complimentary beer, a pig roast , raffle draws and live entertainment after the ride was spectacular.
All monies raised went to the fine builders of Porcupine Rim and Porky Blue, the Fernie Trails and Ski Touring Club.
