A new Fernie RV Resort with spectacular Rocky Mountain views is set to open in Fernie, BC on April 1, 2016. Situated between the banks of the freestone Elk River and the Fernie Golf and Country Club at the gateway to Fernie, the new Fernie RV Resort is under construction.

Adjacent to hiking & biking trails, fly fishing and golfing in summer and nordic skiing and snowshoeing trails in winter, the Fernie RV Resort will initially offer 116 fully serviced RV sites, 26 of which will be pull-through sites, as well as a tenting area with capacity for approximately 25 tents. Short and long stays are available.

The Park will offer full-service and winterized pull-through and back-in sites to suit all sizes of RVs along with individual tent sites and a group tenting area. The Park will also provide hot shower and toilet facilities, a splash park, open green space for recreational activities and a large outdoor hot tub.

Each RV site will be a home-away-from-home, including:

– Generous grassed area with blue spruce trees, firepit & picnic table
– Additional personal parking spot on all back-in sites
– Fully winterized services
– Unlimited potable municipal water
– 50amp power & ambient outdoor lighting
– Unlimited WIFI access
– Brass sewer hookups with toe levers

The large tent camping sites include 15 amp. power hookups, along with firepits and picnic tables. When fully developed, Fernie RV Resort will offer up to 200 RV sites, 20 guest tents/yurts on custom built platforms and additional tenting sites.

RV users and tent campers have long been attracted to Fernie for it’s scenic wilderness setting, year-round events and many outdoor activities but campground facilities have previously been limited. Fernie RV Resort will provide the quality and services that modern RVers have come to demand, while sacrificing nothing in convenience, accessibility or scenic beauty.
