Fernie’s 2013 regular council meeting schedule

The City of Fernie has released its regular council meeting schedule for 2013.
The regular meetings of council are held at 7 p.m. and the Committee of the Whole meetings begin at 10 a.m. in Council Chambers on the second and fourth Monday of each month, unless otherwise noted. In the event that the meeting day is on a statutory holiday, the meeting will be held on the Tuesday.

The regular meeting schedule is subject to change with notice. The first meeting of the year will 7 p.m. on Jan. 14.
Pursuant to Section 130 of the Community Charter, Council must designate a Councillor as the member responsible for acting in the place of the Mayor when the Mayor is absent or otherwise unable to act or when the office of Mayor is vacant.
The Acting Mayor schedule for 2013 is as follows:
January and February – Councillor Iddon
March and April – Councillor Krats
May and June – Councillor Warshawsky
July and August – Councillor McSkimming
September and October – Councillor Ripley
November and December – Councillor Macnair
