With the incredible amounts of early snowfall the valley received in late November and early December the Fernie Nordic Society is off to a great season. The trails opened on November 28 after a lot of work by the grooming team.

Upcoming events include a club get together at the Nordic Centre during the holidays. Depending on the weather, the event will take place in the warming hut or around the fire pit. Details will be announced in the coming weeks.

Elk Valley Nordic Centre and Golf Course Day Passes are now available in bulk – 6 for $75 and 12 for $144. These make great Christmas presents for family, friends, guests and staff. These passes can be purchased online or are available at the warming hut during Ambassador hours Friday afternoon and on the weekend. Also still available during Ambassador hours are the Fernie Nordic ski socks, toques, buffs and ski straps.

Adult lessons are now being booked for the 2022/23 Nordic season and spaces are starting to fill for December. Whether you are local or visiting, early season is a great time to refresh your classic or skate techniques.

Stay tuned for news about progressive group lessons beginning in January. Visit www.fernienordic.com to book your lesson today!
