In it’s sophomore year, Fernie’s Monster Energy Enemy Lines detonated, producing a race from the headwall of Fernie’s legendary Lizard Range to the Griz Bar. The big guns raced from Fernie’s top ridge and the speeds were sick and turns were few in the epic descent for the $20,000. Whistler’s Stan Rey turned on his World Cup experience for the second consecutive year to take home the big cash stash.

The Fernie Monster Enemy Lines is unlike any other ski race, skiers start at the top of the Lizard Headwall above Fernie Alpine Resort with the goal of beating all other competitors in an all-at-once race down to the Griz Bar at the bottom of the ski-hill.

Logan Pehota was first off the Headwall and in first place crossing the Lizard Bowl traverse however Stan took took the lead at about the China Wall, half way point in the descent, and stuck it to the finish.

Stan is the man and his World Cup Ski Cross experience makes a statement with his second consecutive year of besting the freeriding extreme talent. Stan was the 2010 Canadian and Nor-Am ski cross champion, a member of the all-conquering national team for two years and formerly an alpine skier, so he brings a great deal of experience from ski racing. Stan’s love of big air and tricks combined with speed racing is producing results!
