The Fernie Ghostriders have signed Craig Mohr as their new Head Coach and General Manager for the upcoming season. Mohr is no stranger to the Ghostriders or for that matter the KIJHL either as he was the Riders first ever KIJHL coach in 2004-05 and had seasons in Golden and Beaver Valley after that.
In Mohr’s second season with the Riders he compiled and 35-9-3-3 record, finished in first place and won the Eddie Mountain Division in the playoffs. Since then the former Eddie Mountain Coach of the Year has spent time in Golden, Beaver Valley a few seasons with the Calgary North Stars AAA Midget team and most recently as an assistant coach and GM with the AJHL’s Calgary Canucks. Craig got his start in coaching with the Calgary Buffaloes and with Okotoks when they were a junior B team.
Mohr said he is happy to return to Fernie and coach the Ghostriders, saying that he has always enjoyed this town and is very glad to be back.
Fernie welcomes Mohr back and congratulates him on this position!
