The team at Fernie Brewing Co. didn’t let the brisk and occasionally brutal Spring weather dampen their spirits. Or beers for that matter. Instead FBC have been hard at work adding two new additions to their ever increasing repertoire in time for the Summer months that lay ahead. With all five of their popular products now available on tap, but only the original three available off the shelves, it was time to move their two Summer favorites to centre stage. Subsequently, FBC can now boast a bottling line and are pleased to announce to all you enthusiasts out there, that What the Huck – Huckleberry Wheat and Ol’ Willy Wit – Belgian White Ale have hit the shelves in their new striking 650ml bottles throughout BC Liquor Stores and Alberta.
Meanwhile the well known and popular 6-packs of Rocky Mountain Genuine Lager, The Griz Pale Ale and First Trax Brown Ale are still going strong, with an increasingly large fan base throughout BC and AB. In fact, the First Trax Brown Ale has done us proud once again, bringing home Silver in the People’s Choice Award at the Calgary International BeerFest 2010! But it is FBC’s two latest additions to the Fernie family, What the Huck – Huckleberry Wheat and Ol’ Willy Wit – Belgian White Ale that have been fast gaining popularity, boasting distinctive flavours and appealing European styles.
What the Huck – Huckleberry Wheat is prized for its sweetness & deep colour, blending huckleberries with wheat to create a smooth & creamy beer with a light touch of huckleberries. While our Ol’ Willy Wit – Belgian White Ale is brewed with wheat, a distinctive Belgian yeast, a touch of coriander and Curacao orange peel, producing an unfiltered beer with a signature cloudy appearance and light and spicy citrus flavours.
Both, in short, are deliciously drinkable and are available in stores now! Craftily designed and brewed to perfection, they taste just as you remember, but can now be enjoyed in the comfort of your home. Or preferably, (weather dependant), in your backyard.
