Registration for the Fernie Writers’ Conference is now open.
The Fernie Writers’ Conference, now in its 4th year, is a celebration of writers and writing with courses, readings, panel discussions and other events forming an educational experience for writers and readers alike. The Conference brings award winning writers from across Canada to instruct, read and present to a diverse audience from BC and beyond.
Join the Fernie Writers’ Conference this summer with Governor General’s Award winner Robert Kroetsch and Governor General’s Award Nominee Sid Marty. At least eight award-winning writers will be participating.
In addition to workshops on writing fiction, non-fiction, poetry and screenwriting, this year’s conference will also feature a three-day workshop for songwriters/musicians.
Each year the Fernie Writers Conference, with the generous support of local sponsors, awards scholarships to enable East Kootenay residents to attend the writing workshops. Applications for scholarships are now open. Details are available on the website ferniewriters.com
