Island Lake Lodge has announced the appointment of Ted Funston as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective October 28, 2024. With over 20 years of leadership experience in the ski industry and hospitality sectors, Ted brings a wealth of expertise to the renowned backcountry resort just outside of Fernie.
Ted’s extensive career includes senior leadership roles at Resorts of the Canadian Rockies, where he contributed to the success of Fernie Alpine Resort, Kimberley Alpine Resort, and Trickle Creek Golf Resort. Most recently, he served as CEO of a luxury yacht charter company. Along with his industry experience, Ted holds an MBA in International Business, making him well-equipped to lead Island Lake Lodge into its next chapter.
