The board of directors of the Fernie Mountain Film Festival (FMFF) met in the fall of 2020 to decide the fate of their February 2021 festival.
This would have been their 15th annual however with health restrictions with indoor events they have decided to postpone the event until 2022.
Their boards decision not to attempt a virtual event is based on the lack of the community experience. The passion from the community gathering at the festival would be lost and a virtual event doesn’t recreate that special experience.
The directors will take the time to recharge and ensure that a really excellent event will return when life is somewhat normal.
