Show solidarity for First Nations on Canada Day by wearing orange.

Here are a few concrete actions we can all participate in to support First Nations and their Indigenous brothers and sisters:

LEARN about whose land you live on, about the Truth and Reconciliation Report and it’s 94 Calls to Action, about the residential school system and its ongoing impacts.

DONATE to organizations that support residential school survivors, including but not limited to IRSSS and Orange Shirt Society.

TALK to your friends, family and children, about residential schools. Demand action from your MP and the Catholic Church.

SHOW SOLIDARITY by attending memorial events when appropriate, being public about your feelings, and amplifying Indigenous voices when you can.

Our hearts go out to all the communities and individuals suffering right now; Support, solidarity, respect and compassion.

We can’t change the past, but we can all be a part of a better future, together.
