The FIFA World Cup Final live at Fernie Mountain Market will bring soccer, local food and family activities to Rotary Park.

The championship game will be streamed in the Rotary Park gazebo courtesy of Legacy Ford Fernie. Kickoff is at 1 p.m., with pre-game coverage and highlights shown throughout the market.

Bring a chair or blanket, wear your favourite soccer jersey and settle in to watch the final with the community.

Children can join the action in the Soccer Zone, featuring Fernie Youth Soccer nets, soccer balls, giant inflatable soccer balls and pylons. Visitors can also stop at the Fernie Youth Soccer Association information tent for a chance to win one of two soccer prize baskets. The winners will be drawn at halftime.

At 1:15 p.m., the RMR Dance Team will present a special performance dedicated to former Fernie residents Joy and Stacy Falk. The performance will help raise awareness of their work with at-risk children in South Africa.

Fernie Mountain Market runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with local farmers, artisans, food trucks, fresh B.C. fruit and more.
