The ultimate challenge for hard core hill climbers – 2100 vertical feet UP!
New course this year! The race still starts in the base area of the resort and finishes at Lost Boys Cafe (top of the Timber Express Chair) but the route has changed. The event is open to both bikers and runners to take on the challenge!
Helmets are mandatory for all biking category competitors and all competitors (bike and run) are strongly recommended to carry water with them (water bottle or hydration backpack).
Entry fees are $35+gst per competitor and include a competitor tech t-shirt, delicious post race brunch at Lost Boys Cafe and a discount lift ticket coupon for a support member to come up to Lost Boys Cafe to cheer you on.

Schedule:
7:30am-8:30am: Registration & Check In @ Guest Services
8:45am: Competitors Meeting @ Start (Front of Winter Rental Shop)
9:00am: Start
9:45am-10:00am: Spectators Allowed to Load Timber Chair (Please Note: All spectators must purchase a lift ticket and this is not early access to trails up at the top. The Timber bike trails will be closed until the race is complete. Rather this is to allow friends/family to get to the top to cheer at the finish line).
11:00am: Competitors Brunch @ Lost Boys Cafe
12:00pm: Awards @ Lost Boys Cafe
Course:
New for 2014! Start will be in front of the winter rental shop. Competitors will then head to the top of the Elk Chair. From the Elk Chair, competitors will head up to the Megasaurus trail and take that back to the Timber side of the mountain. Megasaurus joins up with with Timber Summer road and competitors will follow the road to the finish at Lost Boys Cafe. Total distance is approx 15km and 2100ft of vertical gain! Full Course Description:(Note: Course will be clearly marked on race day)
1. Depart Base area above winter rentals building
2. Continue up the summer road to Deer tower 3 elevation and turn L (same as previous race path) towards the Maintenance Shop.
3. Continue on previous race course past Maintenance Shop up Timber Trail.
4. Turn R off Timber Trail onto Timber Summer Road towards the Meadow Fence
5. Instead of turning L up summer road as in previous race, riders will continue R traversing below the Meadow fence climbing to the Deer Chair Unload
6. Continue past the Deer Chair unload for a short downhill to the Deer Trail / Orange trail intersection.
7. Continue climbing L up the Deer Trail to the China Wall (past Hollow Tree and Top Gun entrance).
8. Cross over Boardman creek bridge and up to the Elk Chair unload via the Summer Road.
9. Continue around the Elk Top towards the Bear Bunker, continue up the Summer Road to Cat Flats.
10. Exit L off Lizard Summer Road to follow Megasaurus.
11. Continue on Megasaurus through Currie Bowl to Tresspass trail.
12. Turn L on Tresspass trail just before Bootleg Glades and continue to Surprise Corner / Timber Summer Road to join historic race course path.
13. Continue up Summer Road to the finish line at Lost Boys Cafe.
