The Fernie Trails Alliance Public Engagement Session invites trail users to share their experiences, priorities and ideas for the future of the FTA’s trails.
The evening will feature interactive questions and small-group discussions exploring how people use Fernie’s trails, what they value most and where they see opportunities for improvement.
Participants will also learn how the Fernie Trails Alliance (FTA) approaches trail planning, maintenance and development, including the influence of environmental stewardship, user experience, funding, landowner requirements and organizational capacity.
Everyone is welcome, including hikers, mountain bikers, runners, walkers, snowshoers, skiers and volunteers. FTA membership or previous involvement is not required.
Community feedback will help inform the FTA’s understanding of trail users’ priorities and future project planning.
Pizza and beverages will be provided. Attendees should use the 3rd Avenue entrance to the College of the Rockies Fernie Campus.
