Hockey Days with the Fernie Ghostriders brings a full weekend of on-snow skills challenges, community events, and hockey action to Fernie Alpine Resort.

On-Snow Skills Challenges – Saturday, January 10

Bears Den | 11:00 AM – 3:30 PM

An all-ages, all-skill-level hockey skills competition on snow. Participation is free (event waiver required), and competitors can earn entries toward draw prizes by taking part and placing in events.

Challenges include:

• Goalie Accuracy Shootout- Target all four corners of the net in the fastest time.

• Hardest Shot – Test your power and see who tops the leaderboard.

• Puck Handling Drill – Navigate obstacles and show off your control.

How to Win:

• 1 draw entry for participating in each challenge (up to 3 entries)

Bonus entries for placing:

• 1st place: 5 entries

• 2nd place: 4 entries

• 3rd place: 3 entries

• 4th place: 2 entries

• 5th place: 1 entry

Show Your Colours:
Wear a hockey jersey for 1 extra entry (2 entries if wearing a Fernie Ghostriders or Calgary Flames jersey)

Hockey gear optional — ski or ride safely. A jersey is all you need.

Prize draws take place at 3:30 PM.

Skills Schedule:

• 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM: Goalie Accuracy Shootout

• 12:30 PM – 1:30 PM: Hardest Shot

• 1:30 PM: Fernie Ghostriders players join the event

• 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM: Puck Handling Drill

Drop in anytime during the scheduled hours to participate.

Evening Hockey – Saturday Night

That evening, cheer on the Fernie Ghostriders as they face their long-time rivals, the Kimberley Dynamiters, at the Fernie Memorial Arena.

Game time: 7:00 PM

Meet & Greet – Sunday, January 11

Plaza Area | 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM

Wrap up the weekend with a casual meet-and-greet with Fernie Ghostriders players at the resort plaza.
