Fernie Cemetery Tours return this fall as the Fernie Museum takes visitors on a journey through the lives and deaths of people buried at St. Margaret’s Cemetery.

Running every Saturday and Sunday from September 26 through November 1, 2026, the guided walking tours uncover stories from Fernie’s past that are preserved within the historic cemetery.

Visitors will hear about victims of disease and catastrophe, military veterans, criminal entrepreneurs and hardworking immigrants—people whose experiences helped shape Fernie but whose stories are too often left out of the town’s narrative.

Tours depart from the St. Margaret’s Cemetery gates at 1 PM and last approximately one hour.

Cost: $15 per person; Fernie Museum members free
