Fernie Alpine Resort will say ‘Thank You’ to local communities with Community Appreciation Day by offering a FREE day of skiing and riding.

Hey locals! On Sunday, January 21, 2024, (new date) Fernie Alpine Resort will say ‘Thank You’ to the local community by offering a free day (with donation) of skiing and riding to as part of the annual Community Appreciation Day.

Fernie area residents can get a lift ticket for January 21 by donation, a cash donation is preferred. The minimum donation is $1 per ticket although FAR encourages residents to donate what they can as 100% of the donations collected on community day will be going towards the Fernie Food Bank to help support them after the holidays.

Please note that a Photo ID and proof of local residency are required to receive a lift ticket. Proof of local residency includes a driver’s license with an local address or a document showing an local address (pay stub, utility or tax bill) along with an ID to match the name on the document.

Complimentary tickets are available to residents living in Fernie, Hosmer, Sparwood, Elkford, Elko, Grasmere and Jaffray.
