Bailed & Half Spent is a promo preview show for the Fun Field Festival coming up this June 27 – 29 in Elko!
Bailed is a punk-grunge outfit rising from the wreckage of their former project, The Gorbies. After a lineup shift and a few too many late-night basement shows, the band sharpened their sound and ditched the old name—keeping the grit, losing the fluff. Raw, loud, and unpolished by design, bailed blends jagged riffs with a rough-edged urgency that doesn’t ask for permission. Just noise, nerve, and something to scream about.
AND if you haven’t heard these guys from Kimberley yet, you are in for a treat – and time to get hyped coz HALF SPENT will be playing on the Fun Field Festival stage on June 28th: Consisting of members Dawson Rutledge (vocals, guitar), Dallas Moore (guitar), Julian Bueckert (drums), and Angus Liedtke (bass, synth) Half Spent has been sonically bombarding other humans since 2017. With a Y2K influence and dash of psych-pop, Half Spent sends you down a river of velvet melodies to assaulting fuzz that’s all contained in a towering fortress of sound. The band’s love for that 90s steez and early ‘00s super rock sound comes from influences such as Title Fight, The Districts and Oasis. From Arizona to New York, the band has had the pleasure to entertain folks all around North America but gladly call the East Kootenays home.
