I can give up my basement for storage if you like. It’s as big as my house, but just a large space I don’t use. It’s just my laundry space.. with some other storage. If your interested in checking it out, let me know.

I also have some clothes to give up including a size 2 winter jacket set for boy, and a pink jacket (no pants). Depending on the time of the event, I would like to volunteer some time into it. Just let me know.

Fernie is a great place. I have only lived here since May of 2008, and I feel like I’ve been welcomed by open arms. The whole town has a relaxed "ski bum" type attitude and I love it. I have lived across this whole country… from Toronto, Winnipeg, Edmonton, Calgary, smaller communities too. No matter where I went Fernie is by far the best place to live, and now I’m staying.

My son goes to school here, and is doing great. I have never heard of anyone getting hurt because they were not local… This whole town survives on tourism. The small town shops on Second Avenue are wonderful, and the coffee is great. Personally I prefer the taste of Kicking Horse coffee which I get at Fernie Shirt Store.

People in this town do try to get you to "shop local" which means trying to put your money into local store owners over the francises in town. But I don’t think they would frown on people who don’t.

I think if you came here, you would end up falling in love with it. Your sons would enjoy all the activities they have, and sporting clubs. I know mine do.

    Welcome to Fernie!

Thanks to all who helped with the Car wash, BBQ, and Garage Sale for cancer. We raised 1160.00 to go towards Scott Sanden and the Calgary Children’s Hospital!

Specail thanks to all the volunteers who stayed and helped today, the car wash girls, the hot dog girls and the garage sale helpers. Great thanks to Don and Teri of Fernie Ford for hosting the event!

Big thanks to Fernie’s Community for donating items for sale, and for coming and rummaging through our garage sale.

    Great job guys!!
